Lauren, 17, began her ballet training at the Scripps Performing Arts Academy when she was seven and a half years old. This is her third season with the Scripps Ballet Theatre and first as a Senior Company dancer. Lauren attended American Academy of Ballet's Summer Program and has attended the Intermediate and Pre-Professional Summer Intensive programs at the Scripps Performing Arts Academy for the past six years, working with Deborah Kenner (Pacific Northwest Ballet), Jerry Kokich (Joffrey Ballet), Gary Sevani, Amanda Kofsky (PACT Ballet Company), Beverly Bagg (Alberta Ballet), Peggy Dolkas (Ballet West), Robyn Segel Shifren (Royal Ballet) and more. She has been accepted to summer programs with Texas Ballet Theatre and Ballet Met with a scholarship. Lauren has danced the role of Dew Drop in the Nutcracker, as well as one of the Twins in Miah Nwosu’s Les Rendezvous. She was also selected to dance in Natasha Ridley’s Thunders and Lightenings and student choreographer, Stephanie Cotton’s be.you.tiful and performed variation 3 in Le Corsaire's Pas de Odalisques this past Spring.
