The 1970’s park was ready to be remodeled! Partnered with the City of San Diego, neighborhood member, Jen Palkovic and her family took on the task of raising $300K for playground equipment, butterfly garden and various park upgrades. This project started several years ago when the Palkovic family experienced the passing of their sweet daughter, Sienna. The family attended “Good Grief 2Go” a bereavement workshop created by Angela Amoroso and her husband Drew Skinner, through Isabella’s Giraffe Club. The workshop inspires attendees to take on a service project, “Partnered with their Angel”. The Palkovic family did just that and the results are simply outstanding. This project has been born out of great love and will be a magical place for families to gather in Joy for many years to come!
